Returns & Refunds policy

At Causeway Autos, customer satisfaction is our priority. Our returns policy is designed to provide transparency and assurance when purchasing a used vehicle.

Please read the terms carefully.

Eligibility for returns:

1. Return Period

  • Vehicles may be eligible for return within 180 days or 6000 miles (whichever comes first) from the date of purchase

2. Condition of Vehicle

  • The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as sold, without any new damage or excessive wear and tear. Any damage incurred since purchase will be assessed and quotes received from approved repairers and deductions made accordingly.

  • Any modifications made to the vehicle after purchase may disqualify it from being returned.

3. Reason For Return

  • Returns are accepted for significant mechanical issues not disclosed at time of sale, provided the issue is verified by a suitably qualified mechanic and attempts at repair have been unable to remedy the issue.

  • (all laws under Consumers Rights Act 2015 will be adhered to)

  • Returns due to customers change of mind or any other reason will be at the discretion of Causeway Autos and restocking charges will apply. (see below)

4. Exclusions

The following types of vehicles are not eligible for return

  • Vehicles "Sold as Seen" or "Trade only" and clearly stated with no warranty or guarantee

  • Vehicles purchased for commercial use

  • Vehicles that have been involved in an accident after purchase.

  • We reserve the right to refuse returns of any vehicle that does not meet the above return conditions at our sole discretion.

5. Returning Goods
  • You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the vehicle to us. You should deliver it to the following address:

. We cannot be held responsible for goods damaged or lost in return shipment

6. Usage Charges

  • If a vehicle is returned following agreement, as per industry standard, a fair usage charge of £0.45 per mile will be applied from date of purchase. This fee is to account for wear and tear and depreciation of the vehicle during the period of use.

    A Restocking fee of £200 to cover admin and vehicle registration fees may also be added at the discretion of Causeway Autos.

7. Process For Returns

  1. Contact our Sales Team at Causeway Autos within the return period to initiate the return

  2. Schedule an inspection of the vehicle at our dealership or an approved location following agreement with sales team.

  3. Provide all original documents including, Sales Invoice, Title and Registration documents, keys and any additional accessories provided at the time of sale,

8. Refund Method

On approval, refunds will be processed as follows:

  • Downpayments and trade-ins will be refunded in accordance with the original agreement amount. Vehicles traded in at time of purchase will be deemed property of Causeway Autos and no automatic right of return will exist. If agreement is reached to return said vehicle, any costs associated with repair (mechanically or cosmetically) will be deducted from initial valuation.

  • Loan agreements are subject to lender terms and conditions. Settlement figures will be obtained and loan amount outstanding cleared. If outstanding amount is greater than the current value of the vehicle, it is the sole responsibility of the customer to settle the remainder.

  • Under no circumstances will the return proceed unless all finance markers have been cleared off the vehicle.

  • Refunds will be issued via the original payment method, minus any applicable fees, including restocking and usage charges. Please allow 5 working days for processing.

Additional Notes

  • We reserve the right to deny returns if the vehicle does not meet the outlined conditions.

  • Customers are responsible for any fees associated with registration, including cherished transfers, title transfer, or additional services rendered at the time of purchase.

  • This policy is subject to change at the discretion of Causeway Autos.
